There was a comment that made me realise something

How often do you NOT leave comments because you wonder how they will come across

now while I have had a few comments that have not been nice and I can reassure you these get deleted ASAP!!!

I LOVE comments and to know how you feel

Dont be scared

I wouldnt post something if I didnt want to hear what you thought and felt about it

Leave me comments

I dont actually have a problem with it.

I tend to agree with Kate “kiddos are born attached to their mommas”
and it seems Daniel is a people person that attaches to his important people deeply – I dont think this can be a bad thing can it???

We however arent all the same. It takes many many different people and their thoughts and feelings to become informed

I wanna know your thoughts and feelings on this matter

  • Have you done this with any of your children?

  • For how long?

  • Did you go to sleep at the same time as them?

  • Do you like it OR Not & why or why not????

Id be really interested in knowiong what you think about CO SLEEPING

Got this over at SUZANNE AND ALICE’S blogs

What are you reading right now? Abduction by Wanda L. Dyson

Do you have any idea what you’ll read when you’re done with that? Why is the Sky Blue – Susan Meissner

What magazines do you have in your bathroom right now? I dont keep books in the loo but on occasion I will grab my book and take it in with me

What’s the worst thing you were ever forced to read?  Books at High School
What’s the one book you always recommend to just about everyone?  Other than the bible, any of Danielle Steeles

Admit it, the librarians at your library know you on a first name basis, don’t they?  No

Is there a book you absolutely love, but for some reason, people never think it sounds interesting, or maybe they read it and don’t like it at all?  Dont think so, but I do believe we all have different tastes in books

Do you read books while you do other things?  I wish!!! I have to have complete QUIETNESS to be able to read

When you were little, did other children tease you about your reading habits? No or maybe thats why I was teased and had no friends

What’s the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn’t put it down?  I dont think Ive ever done that.  One of the resons I read in bed is because it puts me to sleep.  In fact if I dont read at night I find it very hard to go to sleep

Let me know if you grab the meme. I’d love to read it.

This is something I didnt do with my older two but as my wonderful next door tells me things change with your 3rd

However it seems that Daniel prefers it

I dont know why I made a barrier for his room (see previous post) he cried and cried until he was bright red in the face and thirsty as the first night and last night I didnt even make him go to his bed

So we are cosleeping and we even slept in this morning

My regular readers will recall this recent photo. The barrier was used to stop Daniel getting into Billys room, the laundry, loo and bathroom. On the weekend I decided it was time to take it down and use the wood in another way.

I unscrewed the old barrier

I designed

I sawed & sawed & sawed some more until I worked up a sweat

I nailed

I did this :-

By taking it down we actually seem to have a bit more room. I used it to make a barrier for Billys doorway, I still dont want Daniel in there too many little toys. I have told Billy to make sure he keeps the loo door shut. I cleaned the bathroom cupboard – making it safe. And I used the other half of the wood to make a barrier for Daniels door. We have been having to lie for up to an hour with him every night in his room. There has to be a better way. This in my opinion is it. The plan is to put him to bed, barrier him in and leave him to get on with it. If he falls asleep playing with his toys out of his bed Im sure he wont be the first child to do so.

I LOVE this song and Psalm

Althought the Psalmist in this Psalm feels like God has turned His back on him

you may have felt this way before too.

I can answer his and your questions and fears. I know these things to be true:-

Psalm 42:2

When can I go and meet with God?

anytime anywhere God is wanting for you to pour out your heart to Him

Psalm 42:3

“Where is your God?”

God is all around us

as close as a prayer

I CAN Put [my] hope in God (Psalm 42:5)

GOD IS MY ROCK (Psalm 42:9)

He is MY SAVIOR AND MY GOD (Pslam 42:11)

I try to walk daily for 30 minutes at least. I love to walk along country roads. I love the Hawkes Bay as there are lots of nice places to walk. On a few blogs I have noticed people taking photos of their walks I have wanted to do this for a while. Finally I did today. Today I walked for 45 minutes and this is what I saw along the way.

About the bus – My father always talked about wanting to have one or a campervan and do what my uncle and aunt have done and tour the country. I doubt he will now. I would love to one day. I hope my sons dont reflect in years to come and say the same thing about me. I hope I get the chance to actually do it one day.

I also welcome encouragement over here

I have just finished my 4th book in this challenge

I found this book laid the foundations of whom the characters are well. It made me think of my own school days and stuff I went through. It made me realize how much breaking up with ones best friend can be as hard as breaking up with a boyfriend (for some people anyway). Just as I was questioning where God was in this book He showed up 🙂 I would say I enjoyed the book much more after that. Not that the beginning was bad – it just didnt have God as a main character in the beginning. I loved how the boy whom introduced the main character to God as his best friend. Later she in turn was able to do the same. Arent we blessed that God can be our best friend. Is God your best friend???

‘I AM’ Bible Study Lesson 13

1. Do you struggle with a sense of self-worth? How do you perceive this has affected the way you are able to ‘keep your head upright’? If not, do you know someone who suffers in this area?

Yes I have always struggled with a sense of self worth. I think this stems from childhood. However I have gotten better since finding the Lord. It doesnt really matter what people think of me as long as I am pleasing my Lord. Also when I muck up He forgives me – how blessed I am because of Him

2. What are you most afraid of? Does this fear affect the way you move through life? (Ex. Are you overprotective with children? Afraid to take risks?)

I am a bit of a worrier. Being safe is important to me. However, I have lived through some unsafe times and He has seen me through I am confident that if rough unsafe times should come He will see me through again. I do prefer not to take risks.

3. What is one of the most marvelous ways God has provided a need? I can’t wait to hear your stories on this one!

We were going through a rough time at the end of last year God reminded me to lean on Him. He taught me that whatever comes He will be there. He is a need that thankfully I have because of Him.

4. Steve Brown, a Moody Broadcasting Bible Teacher, is one of the first people I ever heard teach the concept that God was not mad at me. I grew up in a denomination that led me to believe He was in a continuous state of disappointment over my failures. How about you? Though in your heart you know God says He loves you, does Satan in your mind ever try to convince you otherwise?

Sometimes Satan does try but I tell Him where to go now. I know God is always there for me and that He loves me unconditionally.

5. How close are you to your own Promised Land? Not at all, 1/2 way, almost there? By this I mean the place of abundant living and effectiveness here on earth, not the ultimate fulfillment in Glory! Though I hope you are going to heaven, I don’t want it to be today! 🙂

I think I am 1/2 way there. I believe God has put me where I am today and He will lead me on even further as the years go by.
